To support its development Box Africa is recruiting a specialist in API development with 3 years of experience in API development. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of robust and secure APIs. You will be part of a passionate software development team in a Scrum/Agile environment.
Role and Responsability of the Techlead API Developer
The developer will be asked to:
- Design, development and management of RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs.
- Use API management platforms like Azure API Management and WSO2 API Manager to deploy, secure, manage and analyze APIs.
- Develop security systems for APIs, including authentication, authorization, access control, etc.
- Use API testing tools such as Postman to test and debug APIs.
- Work with communication and data exchange technologies including Websocket, Webhook, Pub/Sub, Messaging, etc.
- Ensure high availability and good performance of the APIs.
- Document the APIs and associated work procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to understand business needs and develop solutions that support them.
Profile
We are looking for profile with:
- Good command of Java.
- Azure Developer or WSO2 certification.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and associated tools.
- Knowledge of API testing with SoapUI, JMeter, Rest-Assured tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
